Homegrown Afrobeat Act Signs First International Distribution Deal

A homegrown Afrobeat act that built a local following through weekend performances at waterfront bars has signed its first international distribution deal, opening its catalogue to wider streaming availability.

The group's blend of traditional percussion with contemporary Afrobeat production has already earned them a growing following on short-form video platforms.

'We never left home to chase this. We wanted the deal to come and find us here, and it did,' said lead vocalist Tonye Abbey.
