Investigation: The Contractors Who Vanished With Three Uncompleted Bridges
Share:

Three bridge contracts across three different wards, all awarded to the same construction firm over a two-year period, were abandoned midway through construction. All three sites remain unfinished, with rusting rebar exposed to the weather.

Company registration records reviewed by this newspaper show the firm's registered address in the state capital as a residential building whose current occupants say they have never heard of the company. Directors listed on incorporation documents could not be reached.

Council officials say a review of the contract award process is underway. Residents in the affected wards say they were promised the bridges would be complete within eight months of the original signing.

This is the second in a continuing series examining stalled infrastructure projects across the kingdom.
