Palm Oil Cooperative Doubles Output After New Processing Mill Opens

A cooperative of forty palm oil producers has doubled its monthly output following the commissioning of a new processing mill, funded partly through a diaspora investment partnership.
The mill reduces processing time from three days to under six hours and cuts oil wastage significantly compared to the manual methods it replaces.
'Our mothers processed oil the same way for generations. This mill means our children can still do this work, but earn a real living from it,' said cooperative leader Opuene Wokoma.
